Diba Introduces New Click-N-Seal® Fittings for IVD and Analytical OEMs 10-32 ConeTip and CNS 6-40 Micro

February 2015 – Diba Industries adds the 10-32 cone-tip Click-N-Seal® Ultra and the 6-40 Click-N-Seal® Micro to their existing range of fittings. Both fittings utilize Diba’s patented Click-N-Seal® technology: the fitting is hand tightened until it reaches the correct torque, at which point the cap clicks. This ensures leak-free connections without the risk of under- or over-tightening.

The 10-32 cone-tip Click-N-Seal® Ultra connects 1/16’’ OD semi-rigid tubing, such as PTFE, ETF, FEP and PEEK, into 10-32 conical ports. The fitting is suitable for pressure ratings up to 2000psi (140 bar) and is constructed from PEEK for enhanced chemical resistance.

The Diba 6-40 Click-N-Seal® Micro fittings easily connect 1/16’’ tubing to 6-40 threaded ports, making them suitable for systems that require smaller, precision fluid connections.  Pair the 6-40 Click-N-Seal® fitting with Diba flared tubes for the ideal connection for low pressure diagnostic equipment (under 50 psi).  For applications requiring pressure ratings up to 500 psi, combine the 6-40 Click-N-Seal® fittings with PEEK ferrules with either flat or tapered bottoms.

10-32 Cone TipDiba Industries Presents the 10-32 Cone-tip Click-N-Seal® Ultra at Pittcon 2015

February 2015 – Diba Industries will be displaying their 10-32 cone-tip Click-N-Seal® Ultra at Pittcon 2015, booth #2828, in New Orleans on March 9-12, 2015.

The 10-32 cone-tip Click-N-Seal® Ultra connects 1/16’’ OD semi-rigid tubing, such as PTFE, ETF, FEP and PEEK, in to 10-32 conical ports. The fitting is suitable for pressure ratings up to 2000psi (140 bar) and is constructed from PEEK for enhanced chemical resistance.

The Click-N-Seal® Ultra has a space saving compact head design and ensures leak free connections through Diba’s patented Click-N-Seal® technology. The fitting is hand-tightened until the correct torque is reached, at which point the cap clicks, preventing both over- and under-tightening of the fitting. The fitting can be unscrewed and re-used making it suitable for multi-use applications.

Diba Industries Hosts Society of Women Engineers

Earlier this month, the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and its collegiate members from Fairfield University and the University of Bridgeport spent time with Diba executives at the company’s Danbury facility. Diba aimed to introduce the future engineers to a potential career in manufacturing, especially in small- to mid-size companies.

Diba provides custom fluid handling components and design services in life sciences, pharmaceutical and other scientific and industrial sectors.

Chuck Dubois, divisional chief executive of the fluidics division of Halma, talked to the group of students about the need for better representation of women engineers in manufacturing. Diba is a subsidiary of Halma, a worldwide safety, health and environmental technology group dedicated to mentoring the next generation of leaders in STEM fields. Its Halma Graduate Development Program (HGDP) trains graduates in engineering and related disciplines with a two-year series of placements in its global subsidiaries.

Diba executives discussed the need for skilled engineers at small- to mid-sized companies. Diba’s VP of Engineering, Gary Helstern, stressed the importance of working across disciplines – a focus of the Halma graduate program – as a key factor for success.
